Pierre is the instigator of artfriendly, an art label he considers both as an artistic and militant experimentation.

His approach can be related to the vein of the nomad artists as described by Michel Onfray - Théorie du voyage, Poétique de la Géographie. Poche. Collection Biblio Essais. Librairie Générale Française, 2006:

The nomad artist nourishes himself of intuitions and immediate penetration of the essence of things. He is open to reality as a fruit decided to give itself, convinced of the necessity to do so. Disposed, this traveller offers his entire being to the inexpressible, the intangible which, transformed into emotions, become meaningful and eventually transform into words, into images. Hence the necessity of a vivid eye, a sharp look, the perception of a predator. The flesh is at the world’s disposition, chasing the tiniest detail. The traveller nourishes himself of it; he looks for them, is on the quest for them. Reality under all its forms, that’s its prey.

‘During the last nine years, I endlessly got lost in the streets of cities like London, Toronto, Salvador de Bahía, Barcelona, Saigon, Paris or Brussels. My weapons: a singular angle, a camera and a sharp sensitivity. I got lost while chasing for pictures, for trails left behind by anonymous people. I am chasing for light, for matters, for every day situations and completely insignificant details. I draw attention on images revealing a striking beauty. A beauty that is out there at every single moment, all over the cities of our planet. Right now’.
