MadeByhujo is an artistic project signed Victor Fereirra.
Victor is more known under the name of Sug(r)cane. He lives and works in Luxembourg. Graphic designer and pluridisciplinary artist, he is very active on the electronic music scene.
As Sug(r)cane, he mainly explores and creates experimental electronic music and video projections. Initiator of Own Records and soundzfromnowhere. In 2005, he took part to creating the sound tracks of Man Push Cart, an American independent production signed Ramin Bahrani.
'Using different names is a way for me to preserve my freedom to create, to explore. Each name allows me to follow explore different styles, moods, techniques, playgrounds. My thing is to follow my inspiration and find out where it leads'.
Despite an amazing talent for music and video, with madeByhujo, Victor reconnects with his first true love. In 1995, he's appointed to draw comic strips for a local newspaper. This collaboration gives birth to Rabbit Smith and Birdie Brown.
These two characters are present in all his drawing. He talks about them as two imaginary friends that have been following him since the moment of their birth. The madeByhujo universe has no specific meaning. Full of surprises, it's a journey that builds one step after the other. The artist just follows a creative flow. The techniques or the discipline are not important. The destination is unknown. Like in a dream. The only thing that matters is the movement. When we wake up, we can only slightly remember a gentle movement. It disappears as soon as we try to catch it.
